WHO ARE WE?
We are a student-led nonprofit organization based in the Los Angeles County area. Founded in 2020 in response to the pandemic, the organization was initially aimed to help healthcare communities and essential workers combat the devastating encounters and grueling aftermaths of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a small team led by passionate and ambitious young individuals, we have raised and donated over $400 worth of medical supplies to local hospitals around LA County. We have also donated loads of canned food to local unity centers to help hundreds of hungry and underprivileged families in need of support.
Apart from charity events, we have also hosted virtual guest speaker discussions with current healthcare workers -- our most recent one featuring an infectious disease specialist and his experience working with vaccine developments and the foreseeable future of the pandemic.
Stay tuned for more community-oriented, interactive events this year, such as new fundraisers, donation drives, and a myriad of different volunteering activities aimed toward our local healthcare and underprivileged communities!

Compassion for Communities is an organization comprised of hardworking, selfless, and compassionate students with a strong will to contribute to the communities they grew up in. Our purpose is to help those struggling during these difficult times through multiple acts of kindness.

WHY SPREAD COMPASSION?
Since the start of the COVID-19, the rates of unemployment and financial issues have drastically increased, due to the severe economic disadvantages numerous local businesses and companies continue to face today. Regardless, hundreds of thousands of our fellow, selfless essential and healthcare workers have worked countless hours to provide for the community as well as ensuring a safe and healthy environment around us. As young citizens, we are beyond fortunate to still have a roof over our head and daily necessities in hand -- something most families have long yearned for since the beginning of the pandemic.
